INNER TABLE · PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the InnerTable iPhone and iPad app and website handle information, and how you can manage it.
1. Service and contact
InnerTable is developed and maintained by Liang-Zong Shie. It provides online board games, computer opponents, and account preference syncing using our servers. Contact bareo0101@gmail.com about privacy.
2. Accounts and sign-in
- We process your username, display name, email you provide, account identifiers, login times, and necessary security status.
- Google sign-in supplies an account identifier, verified email, and basic profile information to create, identify, or link your player account. We do not receive your Google password.
- For password sign-in, the server verifies your password. Account passwords are stored as one-way hashes rather than plain text.
- Sign-out, credential expiry, server restarts, or another sign-in to the same account can invalidate a session.
3. Games, chat, and preferences
Our servers store tables, participating players, game states and results, move history, chat, and board, piece, sound, and music preferences to run games, synchronize progress, display records, and maintain the service.
Your display name, online or playing status, and public table information may be visible to other players. Chat and game content is sent to the server and shown to other players according to table and service features. Chat is not end-to-end encrypted. Do not send passwords, payment information, or other sensitive information.
4. Device storage, cookies, and connections
- The website uses essential session cookies, authentication security data, and language preferences to maintain sign-in and provide the service.
- The app keeps its session credential in the device Keychain and settings such as language and haptics locally. It does not save your account password for automatic sign-in. Signing out clears the remembered app credential.
- Servers and hosting providers may receive IP addresses, request times, device or browser information, and error and security records for connectivity, security, and troubleshooting.
- Deleting the app does not delete your server account, games, or chat.
5. Advertising and Google AdMob
The iOS app integrates Google AdMob and the User Messaging Platform (UMP). Depending on the device, consent, and SDK operation, Google may process IP addresses and approximate location, device identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, and diagnostic and performance data for ad delivery, measurement, and abuse prevention.
The app currently requests non-personalized ads, disables publisher first-party ID, and does not itself request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission. Non-personalized ads still involve data processing. We do not pass InnerTable passwords, emails, or chat content as AdMob ad-request parameters.
Ad requests depend on eligibility reported by UMP. Where required, use Profile → Ad privacy settings to change choices. Google handles data under its Privacy Policy and partner data information. The website does not currently integrate AdMob banners.
6. Planned in-app purchases (IAP)
When introduced, Apple will process payments through the App Store. We will not receive full card or bank-account details. The app may read product and transaction identifiers and purchase status from Apple to check entitlements, restore eligible purchases, or resolve support issues.
Prices, product types, ad-removal scope, and restoration eligibility will be described when products launch. We do not currently promise subscriptions, Family Sharing, or website or cross-platform entitlements. Apple handles payment information under its Privacy Policy.
7. Sharing and service providers
We use servers and hosting providers, Google sign-in, AdMob and UMP, and future Apple IAP as needed for the relevant features. Support emails and attachments are processed through email services. Providers handle information under their own policies. Processing may occur outside your country or region.
Our business does not involve selling player accounts, emails, or chat. Relevant information may be disclosed where necessary to meet applicable obligations, investigate security incidents, prevent abuse, or protect users and the service.
8. Retention and security
Information is retained as needed to provide the service, maintain account and game records, resolve security or support issues, and meet necessary obligations. This policy does not promise automatic deletion of all data after a fixed number of days.
We use appropriate measures such as HTTPS, password hashing, access restrictions, and Keychain storage. No transmission or storage method is absolutely secure. Information shared with other players or held by third parties is also affected by their handling.
9. Your choices and data requests
You can edit your display name and preferences using available controls, sign out, manage Google authorization, and change ad privacy choices where required. For access, correction, deletion, or account deactivation, email bareo0101@gmail.com with your InnerTable username and request. Do not include passwords or session credentials.
We verify identity before handling requests as applicable. Records needed for security, transactions, or other obligations, and data in backups, may not be removed immediately. We will explain relevant limits when handling a request. The app does not currently provide an automatic account-deletion button.
10. Children, updates, and contact
The service is not specifically designed for children. If you are below the local age for independent consent to data processing or purchases, ask a parent or guardian for help. Parents who believe a child provided inappropriate personal information should contact us.
We may update this policy and its effective date as the service, ads, or purchases change. We will communicate material changes appropriately and seek renewed consent when required. Send privacy questions to bareo0101@gmail.com. For help, visit Support.
